DERBY COUNTY DIY SOS !!!!!!!

Just letting you know that I am involved with another “DIYSOS” project !!!!!!

The project is similar to the DIY SOS projects I have been involved with before. However this project is being back wholly by Derby County Football team, and in true DIY SOS style it will, It is a total renovation of a community centre in just two days !!! The 1^st and 2^nd of MARCH, Hodgkinson Builders are the project managers !!!!! and I have been on the phone/emails  night and day looking for help with materials or providing labour from local businesses .

This centre is for under privileged kids from Derby !!!.

During the 2 days, the Derby County first team and directors will be on site to help out,

There will be a lot of PR available, the BBC will be there, SKY Sports, Local TV, Radio and local papers,

BBC DIY SOS !!!!!!!! TRADES REQUIRED PLEASE HELP !!!!

We could potentially need  joiners or plasterer’s. In total we need around 8 plasterers ( I may have already sorted this ?) and 6 joiner/carpenters. i would need the joiners for the whole shoot 5^th July to the 14^th July and plasterers probably from the 8^th through to the 12^th. BBC ask all our trades to donate their time free of charge and we send them all the following email explaining the BBC’s complex editorial policy!

As you are probably know DIY SOS: the Big Build is a prime time BBC1 programme, presented by Nick Knowles which draws between 5 and 6 million viewers per episode. BBC try and help the most deserving families with their homes. These families are in real need of our help, with no other way to turn and their homes are often in real disrepair.

We really could not do this project without the help and support of local trades people  and companies like yourself  and as we are working to incredibly tight budgets and trying to do as much for this family so we ask all trades people to donate their time and ask for companies to offer us services free of charge. It is a great experience and we provide three hot meals and endless cups of teas!

It is worth mentioning that BBC have an online contact form (on BBC website) in which can receive a lot of product enquiries. We are able to advise where we obtained products and pass on the companies contact information in a factual way.

I have to point out that the BBC is subject to strict guidelines and its name cannot be used to endorse any products or services used on the show. The BBC's correspondence or name may not be used for any commercial purpose whatsoever including any promotions or publicity. Please note that whilst we will film most of the trades people working on site we are unable to guarantee what footage makes it into the programme.

You are not allowed to use the BBC or DIY SOS logos or link to the BBC website. You can’t use photographs of the DIY SOS team. You shouldn’t link to any clips/exerts of the programme on websites such as YouTube. However you can use the following:
